The third generation of her family to pursue a career in real estate, Karen Hubble Bisbee is the granddaughter of L. L. Hubble, who in 1918 founded The Hubble Company Real Estate. She received her license in 1977 and became a full-time agent on her graduation from Hollins College in 1981. She was a partner in The Hubble Company from 1983 until the firm’s merger with W. H. C.Wilson & Co. in 1990.
In 1996, Hubble Bisbee and her mother, Nancy Hubble, joined O’Conor,Piper and Flynn, which went on to become Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.There the nationally recognized team were top producers for the company from1996 through 2015. In October 2015, the Hubble Bisbee Group left ColdwellBanker and opened their own office in Greenspring Station under the banner ofLong & Foster/ Christie’s International Real Estate.
Karen is a Life Member of the Real Estate Million Dollars Associationand has served as Vice Chair of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors (GBBR)Condo/Cooperative Committee and as a member of GBBR’s Public Relations andArbitration Committees. She achieved her GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) andABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designations and is an Associate Brokerwith Long & Foster/ Christie’s International Real Estate. Karen has beenvoted Baltimore’s Best Upscale Realtor by Baltimore Magazine with residentialsales in excess of a billion dollars since 2002. Hubble Bisbee has made theelite Wall Street Journal Top 250 every year since 2009, one of only two groupsin the state to earn that honor during that time frame.
A three-term President of the Hollins College Alumnae Association,Karen has been very involved with the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), havingserved as First Vice Chairperson of BMA’s Women’s Committee, Treasurer andmember of the Executive Committee and on the Board of Directors and ExecutiveCommittee of Friends of the American Wing. She previously chaired the HuntValley Antiques Show, served as Vice President of the Auxiliary of Family andChildren’s Services and on the Maryland Historical Society’s Galleries andDevelopment Committee. In 2009, Hubble Bisbee was honored by the Maryland HighSchool Athletic Directors Association as “Volunteer of the Year” for her workwith the Bryn Mawr School, from which her daughter graduated in 2009. Karen wasan active volunteer at Georgetown University, Washington DC from 2009-2013where her daughter, Abby, attended the Walsh School of Foreign Service. Abigailalso holds a Masters in Art Business from Georgetown. Hubble Bisbee is afounder of and currently sits on the Board of Directors of TLC Lacrosse, alocal non-profit girl’s lacrosse club she co-founded in 2004.
A native Baltimorean, Hubble Bisbee currently resides in Luthervillewith her husband, Stephen. Their daughter Abigail is the fourth generation ofthe family to hold a real estate license. Abby currently works for Christie’sAuction House in New York City where she is the Sales Coordinator for AmericanPaintings.
